I am in the website because i would like to know what are the options of a non-eea in uk, after getting divorced from his/her EEA spouse!

The marriage lasted 3 years and 2 months.
The couple lived toghether for over 2 years.
The non-eeu spouse holds a Residence Card of a EEU family member issued less than 3 years (2 years and 9 months ago).

The eeu spouse lived and worked costantly for all those 3 years and will continue to do so in the future.

Once divorced, is the Residence Card still valid? Can it be used until its expiry date?
Or does the person needs to apply for a visa straight after (or maybe even before?) being divorced?

Thank you very much for your help

You will have to apply for retains right of residency
HO will issue another resident card for 5 years but no need to wait till expire before you can apply for PR . you just need to hold it for period to complete 5years since you got married .
