Just want to findout about your view. I submitted my Application for Retain right PR but my ex-wife french I'd was submitted e.g Submitted on Wednesday and the ID expired on Sunday. Please will Homeoffice accept that?

French authorities prolonged validity of french ID crds, issued after 2004 and originally valid for 10 years, to 15 years. So if your ex’s ID is one of those, it is technically still valid for another 5 years. I think there are people on this forum who were pondering submitting “expired” French IDs which are still valid according to French regulations. There are mixed feeling about this issue in french expats’ community in UK.

In general, my impression is that HO does not like passports/IDs which expire while they are processing applications.
