How soon can you request passport back from HO?

Hi All,

Apologies if this has been answered before but I can't seem to be able to find the answer for EEA nationals as opposed to EEA(FM).

I submitted my application for PR online and wondered how soon I could request my passport back from HO. I saw for EEA(FM) the general advice was to wait until their biometrics were done, however this won't apply as I am a EEA national.

Do EEA nationals applying for PR get a COA or is this just for Non-EU nationals who submit biometrics?
I received an email saying that my application "has been received and is being considered" with a case ID, is this it?

Do EEA nationals have to wait for at least 10 working days before being able to request their passport back?

I had hoped to be able to use the European Passport Service but they were all booked out. :o

Thanks very much!

Yes, some advice waiting ten working days/two werks before requesting passport back.

EEA (PR) applicants don't receive CoA - they normally, but not always, receive the e-mail you got advising Case ID and saying case is being considered.

Thanks very much NikiGio for your reply, yes, I'll think I'd best wait 10 working days since this is the general advice.

Good to know about the COA!

Thanks again
