Hello everyone ! So It might be a bit of read and hopefully it is the correct category.
I am a non-EU citizen and first came to the UK on a tier 4 then got married in mid 2014 and was given a spouse visa in 2016 (after one failed attempt). I dont know exactly where it is going but I wanted to look into the Retained Right of Residence as a result of divorce and ask if that is a good idea and how it might affect me in the future in terms of getting the ILR and eventually, naturalisation/citizenship.

So what I wanted to ask is basically :

What is better : staying married or going for a Retained Right of Residence?
2)While no one can tell, what is the speculation and how would Brexit change the rules so that it might affect me negatively or not ?
Would I be more eligible for an ILR if still married compared to going for the Retained right of residence ?
I have done a bit of reading where I could on the retained rights but I dont have any real world experience with it so any more information would be very appreciated !
Thank you and if any more information is required, I would be happy to provide.

Hi, no she is an EU citizen and I got a 5 year visa in 2016. Visa / residence permit, however you want to call it.

Thank you !

So you have an EEA Residence Card. An RC under the EU rules is not a 'visa' as such.

That is true, though what it actually is hardly answers what I was looking for.
