Hello.
I wish someone can help me with my situatin (IM SO CONFUSED)
I’m a family member of an EEA national.
I finally received my eea fp for 6 month.
The question is:
Can I apply for a residency card to stay in the UK even if I already got a residency card from Czech Republic?
I got the EEA fp visa on my Czech travel document.
Should my wife also apply for a residency here in the uk even if she got the registeration certificate?
And if I got the Uk residency, can I apply for a travel document so I can travel? Or I’m forced to stay in the uk for 5 years depends on the residency?
Please I need someone to give me advice
Thank you so much

Yes.

If she has a Registration Certificate, she doesn't need anything else. After 5 years of living here as a qualified person, she can apply for PR (or Settled Status after March 2019).

You can travel with the Residency Card, you don't need a travel document.

I believe it will be quite difficult for the OP to travel without a valid passport or similar document, such as a travel document.

A passport or national ID is compulsory for any travel.
The OP can travel with his passport or national ID + the Residency Card when issued.
He doesn't need a travel document - like a Form TD112/BRP.

Why do you think a Syrian ID card can be used instead of a passport for travel to the UK from anywhere but Ireland, France and Belgium?

Generally - travelling with a passport or national ID is compulsory and the minimum.
In the case of a non-EEA citizen like the OP - passport + Resident Card. No further travel document needed.
National ID as an alternative to a passport is only valid for EEA nationals of countries that issue them, for travel within EEA - not all EEA countries issue IDs.
