Swiss National - Non EEA Spouse: Entering without a FP?

Hi all,

My fiancée wants to join me in the UK. The Family Permit route seems a bit cumbersome, and I'd also appreciate having her here as soon as possible.

So any feedback on my plan would be appreciated :-)

Me:
  • Swiss National
  • Employed full time since more than one year in the UK
Spouse:
  • Non EEA citizen (Albania)
  • Is able to enter Schengen
Us:
  • Getting married in December in Denmark
  • Dating since over 1 year
As far as I understand:
  • There is no legal obligation to have an EEA FP
  • We should be able together to enter the UK via the Eurostar and on British border control state that we want to exercise my treaty rights. For this the following proof seems to be required:
    • Marriage (Marriage certificate)
    • Employment status in the UK (Confirmation letter by employer)
    • Financial status (Bank statements of last 6 months)
  • Once we are in the UK she should apply for a residence card and can meanwhile use the certificate of application
Am I missing something or would this seem feasible?

Thanks already for any feedback in advance :-)

Feasible, but factor in a delay of a few hours at the UKV&I counter in Paris or Brussels. You may miss your train.
