Shall I apply for DCPR for my children now or wait and apply for settled status next year?

Hello, I am an EU citizen and have permanent residency and also my husband and 3 of my children but I did not apply for my 2 other children.
Shall I apply for DCPR for my children now or wait and apply for settled status next year?
Is that going to be more simple or would I still have to state absences, calculating how much benefit we received etc?
Thank you.

What year and where were the 2 children born? When did you and your husband acquire DCPR?
If the children were born here after you or your EEA husband acquired DCPR, they are automatically British and can apply for a passport.
If the children are older than 5, have lived here 5 years but weren't born here - you can apply for PR for them.
From the feedback of the people currently involved in the Settled Status beta applications - applying for it is much easier than applying for PR, provided you have access to a laptop and an Android phone.

Thank you for your reply,
What year and where were the 2 children born? Both born here in the UK, 2004 and 2005.
When did you and your husband acquire DCPR? 2017 and deemed to have acquired status in 2016.
If the children were born here after you or your EEA husband acquired DCPR, they are automatically British and can apply for a passport.
They can register as British citizens as they were born here and lived here for 10 years, but it is very expensive for us now.

Thank you, I was not aware of the beta version. Oh just checked and we are not eligible to apply under this pilot scheme...
