EEA (PR) - A Few Questions

Hey all,

I am about to submit EEA(PR) online form for me (EEA) and my non-EEA family members. I have a few questions I am not sure about. Any help would be appreciated:
  • Supporting documents for my wife, can we use any of: DVLA Tax notice (vehicle registered on her name), National insurance allocation letter, letters from the HO itself - e.g. previous residence card approval letter from the HO? I cannot see those listed on the guidelines notes
  • Supporting documents for a very young child - I understand we can use the red book. Should I send all of it or just a few relevant pages?
  • We want to keep our passports with us. I understand the passport return service as: "they will copy the passports, attached it to the remaining of the documents and forward to the HO". Maybe a naive question but all of my family have their current resident card on their expired passports. Will those be copied and returned to us as well?
  • I assume that even if using the return service I should include a pre-paid return envelope. Is that correct? Is one enough or I need two (not sure of my EEA citizen application goes and returns on the same speed of the family member - so should I need two?)
  • I want to add cover letters for each of us explaining our background. Will the return service forward that as well or will they stick to the list of documents generated by the online form?
Many thanks
