Application for permanent residence card after DLR

Good afternoon
After searching I did not find any information regarding my case or even something similar to my situation.
Briefly about my situation: currently I applied for residence card as Non-EEA family member of EEA citizens (my children). In 2005 I came to the UK as family member (wife) of Cyprus citizen together with my son. In six months time I applied for 5 years residency and was issued with the visa sticker up to August, 2010.
In 2006 I had another child. In 2010 I divorced and I applied for ILR but unsuccessfully. Instead of it I was granted DLR for three years which was extended in 2014 for another three years. During this time my children obtained Cyprus passports. After getting a legal advice from the solicitor I was advised to apply through EEA route as a direct family member of EEA citizens.
My only concerns is what the chances to receive a residence card on that ground?
Thank you very much for your help in advance.
Kind regards
