Hello all,

I was recently approved for my EEA family permit, my husband is an EU citizen (French citizen) and I am a non-EEA member(American citizen). My husband and I currently live in Paris and will be entering the UK together by March 1. My question is which application form do I as the non-EEA member need to use for my 5-year residence card and which application form does my husband the EU national (French citizen) need to use? I keep seeing conflicting forms and I want to make sure the next step is completed properly. Thank you!

Current Residence Card scheme: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-a-uk-residence-card
it costs £65 per application. Cards issued through the current Residence Card scheme will all expire on 31st December 2020.

New Settled and Pre-Settled Status, which will replace the current Residence Cards, will open at the end of March: https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-citizens-families
It is free.

Seeing you are arriving on March 1st, seems reasonable for you to opt for the second option.
