Hi all,

I have a quick question I am a non EEA family member of
EU national currently holds EEA family permit, my wife holds UK permanent residence. I am also going to apply for EEA PR in a few months, was wondering during my application does my wife have to be employed in order to sponsor me or this clause does not apply in our case as she already holds a permanent residence?

As per the PR official page: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-a-uk-resid ... dence-card

You’re eligible if both of the following apply:

you’ve lived with your EEA family member in the UK for a continuous 5 year period
your EEA family member has been a ‘qualified person’ throughout the 5 years or has a permanent right of residence

So if she already has PR, she doesn't need to be a qualified person throughout the 5 years.
