Hello,

My friend (non-eea national), and his wife (German Citizen), have just moved to the UK.

They have been married for 1.5 years.

He has a eea family permit from the British embassy in Pakistan valid until April.

He wants to apply for a residence card, as he does not wish to wait until March to get pre-settled status.

His wife is currently a job-seeker and has an appointment with the job centre to get a national insurance number. He would also like to start working asap.

He already has a NINO from previously being a student in the UK.

Does his wife need to have been working or self employed in the UK immediatly before trying to get a RC or would she still be eligible?

If they are eligible, could someone please point out which applicaton form would be relelvat to them.

Hi,

Is there any requirement for the applicants to have funds in the bank?
