Hi All

My partner hold 5 yers card of a family member of EEA National which is due to exparing May 2019.

We are unmarried couple, I came to Uk in September 2008 from that moment I worked and lived non-stop in the UK. In January 2019 I received a settled status, and wonder if my partner could apply once he’s visa exparies or before for settled status also adding me to the application and after one year could he apply for citizenship? I would appreciate for a professional help if I'm wrong please let me know who to do next, as many people I have asked everyone says something different.
Many thanks
Renata

So if I understand correctly:

- You are EEA
- You arrived in 2008
- You have been working since then
- You've been granted Settled Status in Jan 2019
- You have a non-EEA unmarried partner with a Family Member Visa which expires in May 2019.

Just before your partner's Visa expires, your partner should apply for Settled Status - I would suggest applying around 30 March 2019/early April.

After one year, he can apply for British citizenship.

If you need professional advice, you should contact an immigration lawyer.
