Retain Right of Residence - Please Help

Hi there beautiful people
May I first wish to thank you all for the input you put forward. I am an EEA natinal married for over 5years. I have been in the UK for the past 9 years but havent applied for my permanent residence yet. My husband and I have been living together in the UK for the past 2years. We have filed for a divorce recently in the country we got married as it takes more than 6 months to get a divorce in the UK and I will be leaving the UK for good in the next month or so. Can my husband appy for his RoR using an absolut divorcee decree from a different country other than the UK?
