So, we just had a call from UKVI.
I was told my wife's proof of residency in the UK for the past 5 years that I had submitted with her application was fine, but I had not enclosed any proof I had been here too. I can't remember seeing anything about this on the form, so I didn't enclose anything.
I gave my National Insurance number to the caseworker, which once checked will show my proof, he said he will do the check and if ok will get the card issued.
"A couple of days" was mentioned so let's wait and see....

Probably one hour later the same guy has called.

He's checked my history through my National Insurance number, is satisfied with the result and has granted my wife ILR.
He'll send back all the documents we supplied with the application, and another department will be sending out the card, "within the week".

Hopefully some of you others have had calls today too.

Must have been in a rush to have got the form off to them.
Luckily no harm done and it was a simple check for them with no other proof needed.

Yes, I am the BC. I submitted evidence of my work in another EU state, marriage certificate and translation, and proof of my non-EU wife's time in the UK.
Her temporary RC expired last July hence sending lots of proof again, but the only other member here to have their decision (markgbr if I remember correctly) didn't send proof of exercising rights even with an expired card.
Looks like they are being flexible with applications, once they get round to them.

Our application was received by UKVI 2nd May so around 8 weeks for the decision, although no card yet.

Dear all
I am British Citizen here in the UK, my wife (Non EEA) has Residence Card issued on 21.06.2016, after we came back from AUSTRIA exercising treaty. We returned back to the UK ON 12.11.2015 at Calais - Dover port, stamped 6 months on her passport.

I called EU resolution Team said she can apply for Settled Status (ILR) in November 2020.

my Question is , Do you think that am I need to work as qualified Person, or only they need proof of living here in the UK for continues 5 years.

I am really not sure>

any comments will help

With EU Settlement Scheme you don’t need to show you are working the form is very simple and also you don’t need to show you exercise treaty rights in a another eu state if you have a residence card issue in that country

Settled Status/ILR card received in the post this morning, so 2 days after the call with a positive decision.

Hopefully they are moving at speed now and you all receive yours soon.

what is difference between settled status or old system Permanent status ?
which we should choose?
all EEA citizens (including family of British Citizen Surinder Singh) in the end need to apply for pre settled or settled status as from 21 June 2021 the deadline for moving from old to new system.

2717, the majority of them are asked when they join the group what stage they are at in the visa process, we require that they are either already in the UK, having exercised their treaty rights already, or that they are still in the host EEA country and about to return to the UK. It's mainly Surinder Singhers but there are some European nationals and their partners on the forum too, so that will swell the numbers beyond just Surinder Singhers. Not all of the members are active of course, we have a core group of a couple of hundred who post or comment regularly I guess, I'm not sure how to count it so I'm estimating it.

I'm a Surinder Singh case too, my application arrived on HO's desk on 20 May, I submitted my biometrics 2 weeks ago as I have an old-style non-biometric vignette UK RC issued in May 2014.

I got all my documents today and a letter stating that I had been granted a pre-settled status.
30 days from start to finish.
Although I already had a residence card, it still took them 4 weeks to decide.
They didn't bother to send an e-mail, so, those of you who are waiting for an e-mail confirmation - please stop worrying.
All the best to all of you.

They still (resolution centre) keep saying I will receive a COA email first.
Surinder singh cases have been managed really bad so far.

You then say over 2700 members not all Singhers, so of the 18 with decisions how many are Singhers?
