Hello

I'm a non EU family member got my settled status approved few weeks ago, i hold a current BRC which will expire in few months

I have been doing alot of researches but I can't find anything related to what happens when the BRC expires even tho I hold settled status now

I have seen some family members who never had a BRC and appiled for settled status have recieved a new BRC with 10 years expiry date which contains thier settled stauts (ILR) which makes thier lives easier
I don't understand why homeoffice made it easy for some ( who never had BRC) but making it hard for ones who holds one already

I called resoulation centre and the guy couldn't help me

Do you have any ideas please what is going to happen?

When your brc expire so
Get a replacement residence card

You need to reapply for your residence card or permanent residence card if it’s lost, stolen, expired or damaged.

On this link you can read more

You simply apply to renew the card, similar to a drivers licence.
