Will I get settled status if I’ve been married to EU spouse for 5 years but have been in the UK on an Ancestry Visa?

In the not too far future I will have been married to my husband from an EU country for 5 years, but all my time in the UK has been spent on Ancestry Visa as opposed to an EU family permit. I didn’t see much point in switching to the EU family permit. What I’m wondering is whether I will be granted settled status once I’ve been married to my spouse from an EU country for 5 years despite the fact that I’ve been on Ancestry Visa for the duration of our marriage? Or will they instead issue me with pre-settled status and reset the clock on my residence?

under EU law 2016 / EU settlement scheme

Your 5 years count from marriage date if married in the UK

If married outside then date you start living with your EEA family member in the UK

You can switch to EEA route if you wish to
I am now sure how long it will take for you to apply for settlement on your current visa

Great, thanks. So from what I understand I’d get settled status after 5 years of marriage despite never being on an EU spouse visa?

If you married in the UK, yes it is likely.
