It is not that easy. Assuming you are over 21, you would need to show that you depend on your dad. If you arrive with your dad at the same time, he would have an initial right of residence of three months, extensive to his direct family members (spouse or child under 21). Extended family members, ascending direct family members or child over 21, need to prove economic dependency. If you have a Tier 2 visa, it would be almost impossible to prove that.Botman wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 2:57 pmHi. Im on a tier 2 visa in UK since one year. My father has nationality of Spain. He lives and works there. An immigration agent just told me that i can get a 3 or 5 year visa by getting sponsored by my father and I won’t have to pay visa fees for frequent visa switches with different employers whenever i switch and i would also get an ILR by the end of 5 years of that visa too. I would just have to go back to my country and apply from there. My father needs to come to UK and get a National Insurance number here and work for a month here just so he has a record here and after that he would be able to sponsor me.
Is that true? Does anybody here know a path like that? Has anybody gone through this pathway?
Thank you!!
