Settled status for dual British-EU to secure spouse's rights

I am a British-EU dual national with a non-EEA wife who currently has an EEA family member card. My spouse is protected by the European Courrt's decision in the Lounes case.

However, I don't know if I, as a British citizen, can or should aply for settled status so that my wife can also apply. I understand that if my wife doesn't prove my EEA status she can't apply for pre-settled status.

I have my EEA permanent residence certificate but it might be useless after Brexit.

Thank you.

You cannot apply as you are British. Only your wife can apply as a family member. Call or write resolution centre and request paper application
