Confusing email about settled status

Hi,

I am a non EU citizen living in the UK since Feb 2014. I have been granted EU residence permit as an unmarried partner to a EU national in September 2016, I have been working and living in the UK continuously since then. However, I have decided to apply for pre-settled status around the time my partner got her Settled status using the EU settlement scheme.

I have surprisingly received an email from the home office last month saying that they are pleased to grant me Settled status .i.e Indefinite leave to remain. I have found this to be a bit confusing because as per immigration law, I only qualify for pre-settled status rather. There is also a link in this email called (View-Your-Rights-in-the-UK) and it does confirm the above mentioned.

My question is: Could this email be just an automated reply because I applied using the Android application? Would I be able to apply for a bio-metric card as a permanent resident which i can use for application for citizenship in a years time? I have been reluctant to phone the home office and enquire about this for the fear their decision may be reversed.

Please advice me with opinion

When i send online i did get a confirmation online that i'm eligible for settled status. Did you put your national insurance number ?

Is the above your full immigration history?
