Applied for ILR Long residence, and Settled Status. Both granted. Can I get a refund?

I'm not sure if I should post here or in the ILR forum but;

I came into the U.K. in February of 2008 as a student (Tier 4), switched to the PSW and worked for about 18 months before I switched back to a Tier 4 to do my masters.
Before my second Tier 4 expired, I met and married my now ex-wife who is an EEA national. I applied for the spouse visa and was granted a 5 years EEA spouse visa due to expire in May 2020. I had been living and working with this visa.
I (think I) qualified for the 10 year long residence ILR in February 2018 but because I couldn't afford the fee, coupled with the fact that I had separated from my spouse by then, she wasn't very responsive or cooperative, and I couldn't prove her residence from October 2017 to February 2018, I never applied.

I finally bit the bullet, saved up some money (£2,400.00 :cry: ) and applied for ILR long residence in April 2019.

I soon realised that I could try to apply for pre-settled status (or even settled) which might be approved as they have now relaxed the rules about exercising treaty rights. Since the application is free, I applied to that as well.

Long story short, the ILR was granted 4 days ago, and today the PR (EEA route) was also granted!

My question is, I read somewhere on this forum that the EEA PR application will cancel the traditional ILR so I was hoping that the PR would be approved first and I can get my £2.4k back!. That's a lot of money for me right now.

Does anyone know If I can get them to take back the ILR and efund me the money?

I doubt it as your were granted an application that was paid for.

Even if you cancel your ILR you won't get your money back. Plenty of people have applied ILR / PR and Settlement Scheme at the same time or one after another

That's a shame. Is there any benefits to having both? For instance, will the EEA Settled status card have some privileges which can't be had with the ILR?

They effectively mean the same thing, is settled.
