EEA FAMILY PERMIT

Hello, I have got a query about EEA family permit. My brother got EEA FAMILY permit and is expired in a month . Can my brother extend family permit to two years or he need to apply for 5 year resident card. He is married to french national and they have a child that is also french. And they are in uk now . The three of them should go through the EU Settlement Scheme, first his wife and then your brother and their son, using her application reference number. It's the easiest way.
