Hello
Im a non EU family member granted settled status earlier this year
Residence card expired few days ago, I'm flying for a holiday, now i have to rely on the online status to prove to the overseas airline staff and some immigration authorities that i have right to re-enter UK.
Im going to Turkey and if you aren't EU citizen they are pretty firm on you, i remember despite having residence card few years ago, i was questioned and asked for more documents such as driving license or debt cards!! Awful
Could you kindly advise me if you have travelled
Many thanks

Hello
if you are non-EEA national and usually need a visa to come to the UK, I would be very slow to advise you to leave the country without a hard and valid permit in hand confirming your rights.
Officers at Gatwick or Heathrow would easily ascertain your status but I don't see any airline in Ankara or Antalia googling the Home Office page, understanding the settlement scheme, checking your status (if it works at all!) and letting you in.
This will happen to you regardless of the destination. You can get refused a boarding pass and dismissed.
