Hi All

No 10 has said that rules allowing EU nationals to live and work freely in the UK will end in the event of a 'no deal' Brexit at the end of October

I’d like to know too. My son is Norwegian and so the biometrics lady cancelled his EEA family permit and said he can go because he’s eea. Well now that Mr. Johnson is flexing his muscles, will that mean my son can’t join me and our family in the UK when we fly in November? He’s only 11 years old.

EU nationals who are already in the UK would be unaffected and can apply for settled status or pre-settled status in the same way as now.
At least it's a positive note here.

But I know many EEA nationals who didn't apply to the Settlement scheme and they don't even know it exists.

On Nov 1st, they need to demonstrate to their employers that they have the right work.

The biometrics lady has no right to cancel anything. Her job is to record the biometrics.

Apply for him now.

If you read the ops previous topics, the lady at the application centre cancelled the Norwegians EEA family permit APPLICATION as the child is an EU citizen!!

That is indeed the correct thing to do.

Under EU law, EEA citizens cannot have their biometrics recorded (just as their passports are not stamped). Therefore, as the child is an EEA citizen, the biometrics person was correct in cancelling the appointment.
