Visa requirements for non EEA pre-settled spouse

Hi there,

I am an EEA citizen and obtained pre-settled status, my wife who is a non EEA citizen arrived with me on a six month visa and was also granted a pre-settled status.

We are now living in the UK, and we'd like to travel back to visit families, However her visa has now expired.

I assume she would not need a visa to travel in/out as she has been granted the pre-settled status, however since the only evidence of a pre-settled status is online, I wonder if we will not face challenges on the way back.

Anybody with experience ? do we need any additional document to travel in order to avoid problems ?
Thanks.

From what I know, as non EEA without prior BRC (I assume?), your wife should have receive a BRC. This is what I read on this forum at least.

If there's no mention of that anywhere in her emails, I would suggest calling EU Settlement

Thanks Iwolga for the information,
Actually she received her BRC today, almost a week after receiving her pre-settled status grant.
All good.

Fantastic news! I sort of envy your wife. I'm waiting for EEA2 card - well - for biomentrics for 5 weeks now... getting the card itself sounds like something in a very distant future!

Anyway, I'm glad it all worked out well for you

Hi Iwolga,
I can understand you.
I am a EU citizen, and I have received the decision 2 weeks and half after applying, this tuesday.
My case was straightforward, but there are so many applications, that the processing time is getting a little bit longer.
If you have any question, don’t hesitate to contact the Eu resolution center, they are really helpful.
Best of luck,
