From Turkish Business Person (ECAA) Visa to EU Pre-Settlement Status

Hi everyone,

My 3years ECAA ( Turkish Self Employed Visa ) expiration date is next week. However, actually it’s already invalid since I got married in this July and got my EU family member pre settlement status (5years) on 11 September.

After marriage, my surname changed and I got my new passport. And when I was applying for EU pre settlement, I used my new passport. So, my surname matches in my passport and also in my new status.

But my current BRP was already invalid , since I don’t have ECAA visa anymore and my surname changed. So, I sent my old BRP back yesterday. And now , I am really confused about how to get my new BRC? Basically, I’ve been told that they can’t send me new Residence Card as I already have BRP( even its invalid now and explained many many times, for some reason they just say that they can’t issue BRC as I have BRP) but I sent it now. And I wonder what are the next steps for me to enrol my biometrics and get my BRC?

Thank you

Changing Invalid BRP to BRC

Hi everyone,

I used to have BRP but then got married and now I have 5 years pre -settlement status. However, I do not have any card at the moment since I sent my invalid, expired BRP to HO 2 days ago.

So, my question is ;https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... nt-service in this link which option I should choose?

‘Update, Replace, Transfer your BRP’

OR

‘Update, Replace your BRC’

I am really confused .

I would appreciate if anyone can share their opinions ,experiences on this matter.

Thanks

If you take a close look, both options use the same "Apply now" button at the bottom. The two links only tell you specific fordable sections with more details about what you can expect from each and how you are eligible, but they do not conduct to different application forms. Ultimately the application process is the same whatever BRC or BRP you want to claim.
