Surinder Singh Route - British Citizenship

Hello
I am applying for BC for my Non EU spouse who has permanent residence. I am a British Citizen.
one of the items i am unclear on is " Proof of living in the UK " What proof do i need to provide for my wife? we had already provided proof of 5 years residence at the time of application for the permanent residence. Does this need to be provided again?
Also in the online application it mentioned at some stage that for Non EU nationals - Passport is sufficient as proof of residence? so i am unclear.
Can someone please clarify this for me
