Hi!
I hope you are all well,
I have been searching this site and also searching online but haven't been able to find an answer to my question below.
I'm trying to know if Permanent Residence can be refused/rejected to a Non-EEA national holder of a Residence Card who has claimed Pension Credit, being this Non-EEA national the dependant parent (family member) of an EEA national with PR already.
Any knowledge/info/help on this will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards.

This may be of interest:
https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/br ... -benefits/
I doubt PR could be refused because of having obtained a benefit - presumably the status of the benefit applicant needed to be confirmed at the time of the application.

If a dependent family member is purely dependent on benefits, then they simply will not qualify for PR. As simple as that.

Hi Obie, thanks for the replay.
They are and will be supported by the EEA sponsor.
But what percentage of the monthly income of the dependant family member should be based on support from their EEA sponsor and what percentage should be based on Pension Credit/Benefit to be able to qualify for PR??
Accommodation is provided/paid entirely by the EEA sponsor and food, clothing, etc is paid with Pension Credit.

Hi alterhase58,
Thanks for the replay.
Which type of status are you referring to?

Which type of status are you referring to?
When a person applies for benefits I assume status in the country will be asked for if not a British citizen, residence permit ,PR, ILR, etc. I would though refer to Obie's opinion here.
