I have two cousins who arrived in the UK in 2010 as their father who is a Belgian Citizen had sponsored them to come to the UK and they obtained a EEA family permit - they have applied for the EU Settlement scheme. However - both the cousins have minor and Major Convictions:

1) Cousin 1 in January 2020 has received an 8 years and 6 months Jail sentence for serious assault on an innocent person and he was jailed by Crown Court

2) Cousin 2 in November 2017 has received a fine for £300, £85 damage costs fine, 18 month disqualification for drink driving, driving without license and driving without insurance - no sentence was involved in this conviction

The father of the two cousins does not work - he claims benefits and one of his feet has been amputated due to diabetes.

Immigration authorities initially gave a 5 year visa to the family which included the father (Belgian citizen), Mother - (Non EEA), 2 daughters (Non eea), 2 sons (Non eea)

Would the UK immigration authorities allow the above two convictions or will the two cousins be deported back to Pakistan- their native place of birth?

Can Non EEA direct family members of EU Citizens who have arrived in the UK in 2010 on a family permit be allowed to stay under current rules even though the EU family member who has a permanent address in the UK is not actively looking for work and is currently living on state benefits?

can the EU citizen prove that the Non EEA direct family members are dependent on him? Even though he is claiming state benefits?

can the EU citizen claim to be self sufficient through state benefits?
