Hi all

I would like to get advise on which route to go for to bring my Indian parents permanently to UK.

1. My son is 6 years old polish citizen , can he be the sponsor to invite non eea grandparents via EU settlement scheme?

2. My living together partner is polish and I am British we are getting married next month but have been living together for 7 years and have 2 kids can we apply through eea national via eu settlement scheme as direct family members Parents in law ?

It states on the website that eea national and non eea nation must have been in a relation before 31/12/2020 , as mentioned above my partner even though we’re together but not married , would my parents still count as parents in law for my partner even though we were not married?

Or when we are married later This year my partner still sponsor my non eea parents even though the relation of was official after the given deadline?

Our older son who is 6 has both polish and British nationality , can we apply through him to bring non eea grandparents?

Unless your grandparents are dependent on your 6-year-old son, the answer is "No".

Only dependent parents and grandparents can apply. Dependency is assumed for adult EEA citizens, it is NOT assumed, and needs to be proven, for EEA minors.

No. Unmarried partnerships do not count as family relationship for the purposes of sponsoring parents or grandparents in law.

Through the Family Member route. Open to all nationalities, more restrictive, more expensive.

No, since the start of recognized relationship would be after the deadline of December 31st 2020.

Hi
I made an application under Eu settlement family permit but as I received the confirmation mail it calls it as “European Family permits” is that right ? Or it’s EEA family permit ?
