PSS away from the UK for more than 6 times due to Covid

Hi

I have PSS card valid until 2024. During Covid-19 lockdown I have been away from the UK since July 2020 and will be back in July 2021.

Since I’ll be away for more than 6 months, I am loosing my pre settled status when my status expires on 2024.

My questions are:

1- What should I do? Should I try to apply to pre settled status again? My husband is also British and I’m a mother to a British citizen too. Although this is not a route I favour for, is it a safer way for me to stay in the UK to secure the permanent residence in the future?

2- I know my PSS is valid if i will be abroad, up to 2 years. But I’m worried if i will be back in the UK if there will be any issues when I try to enter the country. Any ideas if I should be worried?

3- Is there a chance for me to count this year when I was away from the UK due to unprecedented times (Covid-19 and related travel restrictions)?
The govt guidelines are not clear.

Any idea and the help is appreciated!
