EU Settlement Scheme for non-eu spouse

Hi everyone,
I need an advice from experienced members.
I’m non-EU spouse living in London with my wife (EU Citizen). I entered the UK with EU Family Permit which expires end of this month. My wife got pre-settled status last month, I also applied for pre settled status under EU Settlement Scheme, but due to huge queues for biometric submission at the UKVCAS, I got appointment only for the next week.
I have following questions, would be great if someone can help:
1. If my spouse already got status (I highlighted it during my application), will it make the process faster?
2. Will I receive any kind of card that proved my status? I travel due to business reasons quite often and my EU Permit in my Passport is expiring.
3. I need to do a short trip to Hungary before my EU permit expires this month (I assume I won’t get status under EU settlement scheme yet). Can it create any problem while coming back to the UK during passport check?
