EEA FP - gross negligence

Good evening,

Is there a formal way to complain against gross negligence resulting in a swift visa refusal ?

Either VFS Global or UKVI New Delhi apparently lost / misplaced part of the evidence incl. sponsor's EU passport and national ID card.

Those were clearly named and uploaded as .jpg and .pdf to diminish the risk of loss or misplacement.

It looks like the ECO didn't care to ask to email the crucial document and had spent maximum 10 min on the application.

VFS Global refused to sign the checklist showing all uploaded files.
They used to acknowledge receipt of evidence in 2020 but not anymore.

You are frustrated but the threshold for proving negligence is high. Try to re-apply and do lodge a complaint via:

complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk
complaintsreview@homeoffice.gov.uk

Rein in emotions and outline the facts with the accent placed on the failings of the respective service providers. State where and how this error inhibits ability of your relative, despite the entitlement, to move to live with you. More often than not, you should be able to reverse the decision and a special provision may be granted even without going for the administrative review.
