I want to apply Euss family permit for my mother in law but my spouse Pakistani Id card will expire on 03/06/2021. My question is it compulsory to submit my spouse Pakistani Id card in application. And if I submit a Expired id card of my spouse for her mother euss fp would Home office refuse application. Please note i am eea national sponsoring this application. And my wife is Pakistani national.

Would she not need a passport rather than a national ID card - only EU citizens are allowed to use their national ID cards to enter the UK. Or am I mistaken?

No, not required. It is completely irrelevant to an EU family permit application.

If your wife is an EU citizen, it is only that evidence that is required,ie passport.

You haven't stated who the EU citizen is that your mother in law is relying on and applying through?? Your previous posts state you are a non EU citizen with PR!!!

The online application form does ask for details of ID card if you tick yes.
I personally ticked no when it asked about I'd card and the application was successful for my parents
