Response following a complaint

I am wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

Applied online for EUSS for non-EU family member of an EEA on 22/7/2021

COA on 27/10/2021

No response till March 2022

Made a complaint 31/03/2022
Received a call from EU Res centre advising following

Because your EEA family member is dual (British &EU) I need to do a paper based application using Lounes route.

I'm so angry that they were just sitting on my application and didn't say this till I made a formal complaint.

How can they accept my initial in line application and issue a COA and then tell me re apply using paper application.

Has anyone else had similar experience, am worried that I have to re do my biometrics which is an additional cost.

That is the policy.

You could get free biometrics.
