Pre-Settled Status But No BRC/BRP Issued

Hello everyone. My wife has pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, going on just around 2 years now. However, she was never issued a BRP/BRC, I was wondering if this is normal? It's not a major issue but has caused issues everytime we are travelling and trying to prove that she has a right to return to the UK

This is interesting as UK plan to stop issuing residence cards from 2024 so this might be issues that a lot of visa required nationals to the UK will be experiencing

Anyone have any solutions to this? She is currently stuck abroad and not being allowed to travel home due to not having a physical visa/BRP.

If you did not have a BRC when you applied to the EU Settlement Scheme, you’ll be sent one by post if your application is successful. This BRC will expire on 31 December 2024. Your immigration status will not be affected.

If your BRC is lost, stolen or expires when you’re outside the UK, you can get an EU Settlement Scheme travel permit.
