Apply to EUSS after being recognised as EU national

Hello everyone and thanks for your help in advance.

I moved to the UK in August 2019 under a Tier 4 (Student) visa. I switched to a Skilled Worker visa in September 2021.

I am originally Argentinean (hence why I followed this route). However, after September 2021 I was recognised my Italian citizenship (not by naturalisation - I have the right given bloodline).

Questions are: can I still apply to EUSS (pre-settled)? Is there any potential downside of trying to apply and getting rejected?

Thanks again!

Don't think there are any downsides; you might as well be successful, see post2110740.html#p2110740 and subsequent posts.

Thanks, it's exactly my same case so hopefully it will work.

And apologies, did not find the original post!
