Does BRC replacement show the date you were given settled status and how does it take for it to be replaced

When I applied for the EU settlement scheme in 2019, I got settled status. I was told I could use my BRC until its expiration date. My BRC has now expired and I am thinking about replacing it. I wanted to know if the new Card will show the date that I received the settled status that is from 2019 or it will start with a new date, that is the date I applied for the card replacement. If it starts with the new date, will I be able to apply for citizenship or I would have to wait for a year. Thanks

For naturalisation you quote your reference number you were given when you first received the status.
Did you get full EUSS in 2019? If so you could have applied in 2020 (or immediately if spouse of British citizen).

The BRC card is just proof of status. For new card: https://www.gov.uk/uk-residence-card/replace. General advice is to apply at least 6 months before expiry of card.

Also be aware that after 32.12.2024 all BRC/BRP cards stop being valid. There will be an online only system in place:

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I received Settled Status when I applied under EUSS. I had just started schooling in 2020 and I am about to finish. My BRC has expired and I normally use my share code. Now I am ready to apply for naturalisation. Thank you
