Hello Everyone,

I am Indian with family and cam to Sweden in 2019 and now have Swedish Passport and working in Indian MNC (e.g. Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Cognizant).

If I want to move to the UK;

1. Do I require sponsorship?
2. Or Only internal company transfer is required?
3. If I am.moving in the same company but changing countries is there any visa requirements?

Pls suggest and help.

Thanks in advance.

1. Do I require sponsorship?
Yes. You require a sponsored visa. You cannot use the EU Scheme.
2. Or Only internal company transfer is required?
Not necessarily. Does the Indian company have a UK presence that has a license to sponsor migrants?
3. If I am.moving in the same company but changing countries is there any visa requirements?
You need a visa to work in the UK and you need to have a UK company sponsor your visa. There is no way to avoid this. There are visa fees and Immigration Health Surcharge fees payable by each person applying for a visa.

Also, who exactly are you asking for as you posted last year that you had ILR and were applying FLR(M) spouse visa???

Is it like T2 sponsorship like anyone coming to UK.

Yes, The company is having presence in UK and having Sponsorship license.

Ok

Yes the above question was for a friend who is in Sweden and I posted on his behalf.

In fact I was trying to tell him that once you are settled in Sweden and have Swedish Passport you could move to UK easily. You only require a existing company to offer a transfer or job in UK in same company. ( I may be wrong).

Yes. No special free route and freedom of movement for EU citizens anymore who were not in the UK by 31st December 2020.
Yes, The company is having presence in UK and having Sponsorship license.
They would need to assign a Defined CoS and meet all the requirements to sponsor an employee.

Please state if you are posting on behalf of someone else. Or even better, get them to register on the forum to ask their own questions.

Your are totally wrong. Freedom of movement for EU citizens ceased on 31st December 2020, when Brexit happened. Any EU citizen needs a Skilled Worker visa or other visa they qualify for before they can move to the UK. I would suggest not trying to offer immigration advice when you are not sure.

Post Brexit, it is a level playing field, and the same rules apply to all work-related migrants, whether they are EU (such as Swedish) or non-EU (such as Indian, Pakistani or Nigerian). Your Swedish citizen friend will have to meet the same UK immigration requirements as if he were an Indian citizen.

If he just wants to move to an English-speaking country, Ireland and Malta are two EU member-states where he can move to based on his Swedish citizenship.
