to be fair, it might help to send the new form along with a letter to speed things up..

when we did my wifes application, we wrote a letter stating she is the main carer for our 5 month old, 3 year old and also helps me with day to day care.

I work full time, but do struggle doing some personal care etc myself (she helps me wash etc. (i take copious amounts of pain relief etc to manage through the day, and if my wife were able to work it would be a big relief for me too.)

we posted application off - stating she is the "primary carer" for three british citizens... the two forms state she is primary carer for one (our young 5 month old).

we did however, draw attention to the said letter. I had an apt at doctors on the wednesday, when i spoke to dr, she confirmed she would write a letter to confirm my health and ill effect of being a sole carer for two children etc..

she gave me a list of my medicines etc, and stamped it etc.
i wrote a letter accompanying it, with ho ref of wife etc, to support her application...

whilst any form doesnt need completing by law... it makes things harder if you "dont comply"... even though i dont like complying (SAR requests etc) even i filled in this form for my wife (easier/less hassle etc).

gonna send another letter to ho reporting centre too, my wife has to report monthly, and our previous mail has been ignored. - the reporting center is stating that only qualified solicitors can speak on my wifes behalf, even if she is with me, which is absolute balls.

- they "railroad" her in and out of the reporting centre and wont discuss anything with her... yet wont discuss anything with me either...

you are lucky doesn't mean every one is going to be lucky one guy in this form got refused just because the employer couldn't receive HO call so please don't give false hope to some one they should know both sides of the coin.

RC Received! Our Timeline:

EEA1+EEA2 Sent on: 16-05-12
HO Received on: 17-05-12
COA: NO COA
RC: NO RC
UKBA Returned the documents on 18/07/12 asking to apply again including accountancy information for tax returns etc ... as applied as self employed.

re-applied EEA1+EEA2 Sent on: 08-09-12
HO Received on: 11-09-12
COA: NO COA
RC: 27-01-2013 ( ISSUED 16-01-2013 )

From our experience I would advise to email HO. After waiting almost 5 months without receiving COA or any news from them we sent them an email requesting our passports back, and 10 days later we received the RC. It may be a coincidence, but i dont think so ... HO says that email requesting passports back should not affect the application timing but from our experience, it did.

I hope this helps other who have not even received a COA from them.

Well done, glad you got your RC - seems like you've had a very long wait!

Not to be negative, but I also requested our passports back (first request 14/11/2012 - received passports over a month later 17/12/2012) - and I have not received my RC yet. However, maybe once they retrieved your file to send the passports back, they noticed that you'd already been waiting for your RC for over 4 months - and that was why?

The UKBA moves in mysterious ways....
EEA2 Application sent: 09/10/2012
Received by UKBA: 10/10/2012
COA received: 19/10/2012 (dated 17/10/2012)
Passports requested: 14/11/12, 28/11/12 & 12/12/12 (email) and 11/12/12 (mail)
Passports received: 17/12/2012
RC received: 14/02/2013

gamextar - how long did it take you to get your passports back after you requested them? To which email address and in what manner did you request them? If you could post your experiences, that would be so helpful!

Thanks, this is the passport request experiences thread - http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 714#743714

@Mian... I think thats a new procedure, I mean it"s a recent development that they commenced 2013, Home visits and interview for marriage route applications according to the recent news I have read on UKBA.

Meanwhile did u attach any other proofs of your relationship to the application or u sent only Marriage Certificate?

Did you put Marriage pictures, Bills and all that?

What other things did they say, did they only mention come for interview straight away without any reasons?

am not sure what they will ask at the interview anyway!
