Hi Guys,

I am non-EU citizen. I had 5 years visa back in 2005 as non married partner to an EU citizen (Spain). The visa will expire on May, and I want to apply for
Indefinite Leave to Remain. For some reason I and my partner never had anything joined (e.g: Bank account...,utility bills...etc), however every single document (mine and my partner's) I will submit features the same address also I have neighbours who know us for over 7 years.......
My question is :
Will the same address of documents , letters from neighbours,letter from my partner will be enough to prove our ongoing relationship ???

Every piece of information is highly appreciated.

Most importantly you will want to apply for Permanent Residence on form EEA4 and not ILR. I assume the "visa" you are talking about is the old style EEA family permit.

I guess "Permanent Residence" and "Indefinite Leave to Remain" are the same thing??

Sorry, mate it was a bit of a mixed up for me ......Indeed I applied for Permanent Residence using EEA4 application.

Good, then you are on the right track. I would think that as long as you have documents with the same address covering the five years you should be fine. I am not sure if supporting letters from neighbours and friend would be of any use.

I am curious how your application went? I am looking at doing the same thing; I had my ancestry visa extended last year £500 for another 5 years but this year i have lived here for 5 years and want ILR - to lead to citizenship;

If i go EEA and get settlement, can i then apply for passport / citizenship next year?

I received my passport endorsed with " Indefinite Leave to Remain", on the 23 August...just under six months by fewdays of wait. I wonder now what is the list of "NOT DOs" to prepare me successfully for British naturalisation.
