In a sense the wrong question is being asked! The fact is that the UK recognises a marriage that is recognised as a legal marriage in the country in which the marriage happened.

If the marriage was placed in britain and the mosque was authorized to issue marriage certificate (Not Nikah nama) than yes they do..
