EEA Family member Residence card in expired passport

Hi

I am pretty sure about this one but just want to double-check with the community.

I hold Residence Card as a Family Member of an EEA National stamp in my passport. The issue I have is that my passport has no more free pages left and so I am going to apply for new passport. I will be able to keep the old one but piece of it will be cut off to mark it as invalid.

Can I still show my EEA family permit in my old passport when returning from trips abroad to the UK? or do I need to re-apply for new EEA damily permit (might take a year or so to process)

Cheers! for all your replies.

you dont need to re-apply for a new resident card.when your passport is cancell it will be mark without prejudice ie all other stamps in your old passport including your RC is still valid
