Hello,
I am wondering if they issue the EEA2 replacement cards? I lost mine a year or two ago while i applied for it in around 2007? Would anyone have a link or any emails of how to gain a copy of a lost one?
Thank you.

do you mean i have to go through the process all over again, filling in the form? would they not have all of my details on the system somewhere to verify?

They have data from the time when you applied but obviously not later. If you wanted to just transfer your RC you would also have to reapply. You can try to call them and find out if there would be any special procedure. But I stronly doubt it.

what about PR which is valid for 10 years? should you reapply when expired or lost; or just send them the new passport with a photocopy of the PR or the accompanying letter?

Good question. PR is lost after 2 years of absence so the UKBA may want to check.

In principle, in the same way you prove residence when applying for PR.

86ti, in the directive it is stated that the pr is valid for 10 years and will be renewed automatically upon receipt by the ho. If you have to reapply it will be no more a pr. What do you think?

I think the first renewals will not be due for a few years. Hard to guess how HO will handle theses cases.
