Getting separated from my EU wife

Hi Everyone
I hope you guys can help me and guide in the right direction.
i am married to a EEA citizen (Portuguese) and currently hold a UK Residence card. I got my Residence card November last year which is valid till Nov 2014.
We have been married little over a year now but unfortunately things did not work out and we are planning to separate. i am still trying things to get back together and to sort out our issues (fingers crossed). I am not planning to stay here long if we don't get back together because she is the only reason i am here.
We both have permanent jobs here in UK and live here.
I need your help to know what would happen to me in case she leaves her job and move to a non European country (with her parents who live in South Africa).
Do i have any options if she moves permanently or temporarily leave the country ??
i am working as a permanent member of staff here and in middle of a 2 years course in Business administration. Is there any option that i can live here for another 2 years till my course is finished even if my Wife leave the country ??
i have spent a lot of money in my courses and other stuff and that's the reason i am so worried. think if i could stay for another year or two ..i ll be happy to move back to my home country.
