Can you believe this..

A mat of mine recently informed the INIS- Irish immigration of his change of address.

And they have written back to her asking her to provide proofs of address, as in tenancy agreement, utility bills for her and her husband and registration of tenancy from private residential tenancies board.

Can they do this?

they have bills and the new tenancy agreement but not the registration of tenancy, she got her fam4 card in 2008, married in 2004...

She now regrets informing them of change of address, she plans to ignore it. Please advice.

This should be in the Irish Immigration Section.

Yes, they can ask for it. The onus is on the applicant to keep the department informed of any changes in their circumstances, whether it be seperation from EU spouse, change of address or employment circumstances.

She probably could have not informed them (although I don't know what the repurcussions of this would be down the line when see applies for Permanent Residence Card) but she has informed them now, and she must follow through with their requests.

She can send what she has and inform them the reason why she doesnt have PRTB and that it in itself is not the only way to prove residence at an address and that she has provided adequate documentary evidence.
