Hi,

I have a big problem to sort out. I have been working with my company 2 years and 7 months. Two years were under my work permit(tier2) and 7 moth were under my student visa and i had been working with them as a consulting when i get my visa i started working as a full time. Now my company is planning to change company structure and they will close their IT department. I am working as a Web developer. so that mean my role will terminate too. They could not find any vacancy in the company. My question is that 7 months in the same company could it count in to total working time in the company? because when i finish my 3rd year in this company, i will not need to find any sponsor for my visa and i can find job without sponsor if does not count , i have to find sponsor. I already stated researching other ways to get different visa or find new sponsor which is difficult that time. If any one knows my question that would be great.

Thanks.

I am Turkish and There is an agreement between Turkey and EU. IT is called "Ankara Agreement". Any Turkish who got tier2, has the same right after 3 years no sponsor in the same subject and after 4 years any job doesnt matter subject. And i have 5 year visa.

Thanks.

IMHO, part-time employment while on student visa may not count towards the 3 year period.

Moving the topic to another forum where you may get accurate answer(s) quickly.
