Hello everyone , I will like to commend all that are giving a helpful Opinion !
This is my Situation, I have been in durable relationship with my EEA spouse since December, 2005. We met while I had my student Visa. But got married in July, 2007. And was Issued with Residence Card in July 2009 .
From that December, 2005 . we were living with his Uncle while she was studying . But , we dont have proof like bills while we were living with his uncle for that period .
In January 2007, we moved into our own apartment , which we have proof up till date December 2010.
she has all the prove that she study and worked for this five years and also I have proof to show I have been working for the period of 5 years

1. Since we have this 5years durable relationship, can I go ahead to apply for Permanent Residence? Even though I was giving residence Card in July 2009.
2.Between the December 2005 to December 2006. what should we say or do to cover the period for example, Can we ask the Uncle to write a cover note to explain this period ? and can I and my spouse also write a cover note as well ? to explain this period.
or Ask our Local MP to support our application?

Looking forward to hear from you soon !

Is this some kind of a joke?

Please read this VERY THOROUGHLY, it answers ALL your questions in great detail.

You will automatically acquire Permanent Residence (provided you remain married and other requirements by your EEA are met) 5 years after the date of your marriage (July 2012), forget the date you actually were given that residence card, the time starts to tick from the date of your marriage.

Your EEA can apply for a Document Certifying Permanent Residence on EEA3 now, it'll be helpful for you when your time comes in 2012 to apply for PR.

good luck.

(still can't believe someone asked this question when I had just listed another thread relating directly to this issue.)
