Hi

I have been on this site for a some time now and it has helped us immensely, we made our application for a EEA FP, and as we were rejected after producing 3 rental contracts and all receipts for the bills we have paid here.We have decided to give ourselves the next 6 months to collect all that they require, We are self sufficient so we do not have work pay slips and my wife does some work in the UK here and there. We have been in Spain for almost 3 years now.
We made a decision to collect as much as we can in the next 6 months my first idea was to enrol my wife in a correspondence course in spanish, we have started a new contract, and all bills will be paid in my wifes name. Is there anything else we can do as my wifes Father is very ill and it will be easier if we could visit a bit more.

Thanks for your help in advance

It would be very helpful if you were clearer on your current situation. So you are in Spain now and want to move to the UK? What is the nationality of the EEA national?

And you live now in Spain and consider returning to the UK under the Surinder Singh ruling? I think the UK will not accept self-sufficiency for that purpose. Your wife has to be either a worker or a self-employed person in Spain.

These are the requirements on the their site and the goal posts are always changing, We would like to be able to visit when we like to it also states that the EU citizen can just be a job seeker, but we provided documentation to prove we are self sufficient. We would like to find out more about how other people have been able to get it sorted, as we feel there is no other way of proving that my wife has exercised treaty rights than 3 rental contracts, bills and various receipts. We have been following what the new Goverment has been advocating that they would like to take care of families more, and feel those of us who have had their rights trampled upon we should now try and talk to the goverment, and deal with this violation of our rights in a different way as it is totally against human rights to hinder families. In numbers we have greater strength and in numbers we will always be heard. Have just had enough of jumping through hoops.
