Can a non EEA work on a family permit?

Hello! I am an EEA and my husband is a non EEA. If his family permit is granted, does that mean he can work in the UK solely based on the fact that he has a granted family permit?

My understanding is yes because of what I've read on the BA site:
Can my family members work in the UK?
A family member of an EEA national who intends to travel with them or join them in the UK can work without a work permit. Family members are generally not required to register under the Worker Registration Scheme or comply with the special requirements for Bulgarian and Romanian workers. The EEA national must be a 'qualified person' in the UK.
BUT I just wanted to confirm that this is indeed true... you know, just to calm my mind :oops: :)

Does the same apply to 'Other family members' such as siblings?

@ch33rup, please share here with the rest of us how you application/process went. (once completed)

FYI: My wife (EEA) and I (NON-EEA), both living in the USA, will go through the very same process. :wink:

Good luck!

@keffers, I've found this:

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply ... s#22714507

If you read the title Can my family members join me in the UK? it is pretty much self-explanatory. JIC, let me please share it here:

"Your extended family members, such as brothers, sisters and cousins, do not have an automatic right to live with you in the UK. However, we will consider applications for your other relatives to join you if you are a qualified person in the UK and:.....". Just continue reading.

Now, I think the advise and help of any of the gurus will be great, don't you think?
